Description

Drills for Building an Attacking 3 Out & 4 Out Offense Former LaSalle University head coach John Giannini always recognized the need for players that could pass, drive, and shoot. His 3- and 4-Guard Offense depended upon having such players. Giannini took LaSalle to the Sweet Sixteen in 2013 and had back-to-back 20-win seasons in ’13 and ’14. In this video, Coach Giannini takes you through a 30-minute guard/post player development workout. You will learn how to develop guards and posts that complement each other and learn to play in the half-court against any defense. Giannini goes on the court to demonstrate how to properly execute each drill. Post Workout The post workout is a well-rounded session that teaches posts four ways to get easy baskets by running the floor, catching with two feet in the paint, and utilizing back-to-the-basket concepts to finish strong around the rim. Fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, ball screens, and more are developed and posts learn how to perfect their offensive rebounding ability. After demonstrating the workout, Coach Giannini offers up 10 minutes of game film. The film shows how the drills develop the skills needed in a game situation. Guard Workout Like the post workout, the guard workout develops the complete player. Coach Giannini teaches guard development using six different concepts in the half-court. You will see an emphasis on ball-handling, creating shots, using ball screens, penetrating, and kicking. Each drill is demonstrated so you and your players understand exactly how to execute. Coach Giannini’s video is an excellent presentation on how to develop well-rounded players to play against any type of defense. REnt this 3 Out – 4 Out Offense DVD Today.
